TN RTE Admission 2026-27: Official Document Checklist

Parents planning to secure LKG or Class 1 admission under the Right to Education (RTE) Act must prepare their digital copies now. All documents must be clear and under the specified file size for a successful upload.
1. Mandatory Documents (For All)

| Address Proof | Aadhaar Card, Ration Card, Voter ID, or Utility Bill |
| Income Certificate | Mandatory for EWS (Annual Income < ₹2 Lakhs) |
2. Disadvantaged Group (Special Categories)
If applicable, one of the following is required for priority admission:
- ✅ Community Certificate: For BC, MBC, DNC, SC, or ST candidates.
- ✅ Medical Certificate: For Children with Disabilities or Children with HIV.
- ✅ Official Certificate: For Children of Sanitation Workers or Orphans.
⚠️ Eligibility Check: Date of Birth (DoB)
- For LKG: Child must be born between August 1, 2022 and July 31, 2023.
- For Class 1: Child must be born between August 1, 2019 and July 31, 2020.
