The Tamil Nadu Finance Minister announced in the Assembly that the salary bank accounts of State government employees and teachers would be converted from ordinary savings accounts into Salary Accounts with an attached benefits package.
An MoU was signed in the presence of the Chief Minister with the leading banks operating in Tamil Nadu. G.O. (Ms) No. 113 dated 14.05.2025 is the formal government order issuing this arrangement.
